Christmas Spirit

Conversation:

Husband: “Let’s go to Dan Murphy’s and buy some drink.”

Me: “You mean the non-alchoholic drink?”

Husband: “Yeah, whatever…”

So we went to buy some drink until we saw this beautiful house covered with thousands of Christmas lights. It just blew us away. Since we were going to Dan Murphy’s we decided to stop by and took a photo before we head home. Isn’t it so pretty?

It just reminds me of a lot of things about Christmas and all of our memories together with it. The gift givings, festive meals, family reunions, colorful decors, warm greetings, and the feeling of being together with all of the people that I love the most, my family. It’s also one of my most awaited seasons of the year.

This is going to be our second Christmas season far away from home and our families and the fact that we are far already makes it sad. I remember me and my husband worked last Christmas. We only met each other that day after he came home from work and before I come to work. It’s because he does the day shift while I do night shift and I must admit it was a bit strange.

But then I was reminded after seeing this beautiful house covered with thousands of Christmas lights that the spirit of Christmas is in our hearts. No matter where we are, who we are with, what we do, and how we celebrate it. Christmas should be everywhere we go and we should celebrate it everyday. We should always be thankful to our Creator because we’re alive, our loved ones are, and we all exist on purpose. We exist to fulfill our purpose to our Creator and He never fails to give us a second chance. Now that’s one thing to celebrate with a happy heart.β™₯️

  1. That’s such a nice picture with all the lights. Thanks for sharing. I know it is hard to be away from loved ones, especially during the holidays, but moving to another country and making a new start, is a big step, but you seem to be fitting right in.
